Directionally Challenged?

So last night my friend and I were offered two downloadable tickets to a movie screening - which we found out about a little too late to actually have printed.  We chanced it and went to the theater to see if we could sweet-talk our way in without the passes but to no avail.  As we were standing outside the theater trying to decide what to do next, we figured, "When all else fails...get coffee!"  We knew there was a Starbucks close - three of them, in fact - but since it'd been a while that either of us had been to that outdoor mall we took off in search of a Directory.  As we stood there for at least a good four minutes trying to figure out where Store 154 was in relation to where we were (we found the other two Starbucks on the "map," btw...), I happened to turn to my right.  Lo and behold within 43 feet of us was Store 154 - The Starbucks we had spent so much time trying to find.

How often does this happen in our daily lives?  We feel lost and directionless and even when we stop to ask - beg and plead even - for help, if we had just looked to our right we could have seen the answer was waiting for us right there all along.  Sometimes we get so caught up in how things "must" or "should" be that we forgot to think - or even glance - outside the box.   Boxes contain darkness, limits and usually a whole lot of unnecessary "stuff," and if we take just one baby step toward peeking over the top edge of the box, it's amazing how the view - your perspective - can change in a matter of seconds.

What's outside your box waiting to be discovered?  Happiness?   Peace?  Starbucks??!  Go ahead...peek.  What's the worst thing that can happen...a great cup of coffee?

Here's to your new view!!  Cheers!
